The collision happened on the Princes Highway near Bendalong just before 11 o'clock this morning. The highway is expected to be blocked in both directions for several hours, while investigators examine the crash site.

Authorities say they're outraged after drunken partygoing left a scene of destruction on Melbourne's foreshore last night. Around 5000 people gathered at St Kilda Beach yesterday afternoon and began drinking, prompting police to move in and clear the area. Two people were arrested for public drunkenness, and another man was taken to hospital after he was hit by a tram.
